Closet Factory designer, Sue Pike, was recently challenged to create additional storage space in a beautiful home in Richmond’s Westover Hills neighborhood. These charming old homes typically have plaster walls with very little storage space. The client wanted hall cabinets that would be used for bathroom linens as well as a space designated for a personal work area.
Designer, Sue Pike, said “The challenge was taking the small walkway/alcove and creating a functional work area and having that style spill over to the adjacent hallway where we had 2 small spaces between the window for the linen cabinets.”
After spending time with Ms. Holley, Sue knew that she had to create a design that would appeal to the client’s flair for contemporary, organic, and clean lines. The design features include chocolate pear woodgrain with stained wood trim, beach grass Lucite, upgraded handles, wood shaker raised panels, and a Girona Cavern countertop.
