Firefighter’s Crab Feast

crabsHave you bought your tickets for the 2010 Hannover County Firefighter’s Crab Feast yet? If not you have until 9pm tonight to do so. The crab feast will take place in Mechanicsville at Cold Harbor Ruritan Park this Saturday. There will be hotdogs, beverages and of plenty of crabs served. The gates of the feast will open at 1pm with crabs being served from 2pm-6pm. Don’t worry you don’t have to leave as soon as you finish eating, you can hang around the park and relax until 8pm. Christmas in July

Have you ever experienced Christmas in July? If you haven’t you can this weekend. Short Pump Town Center, Richmond band ‘Offering’, 98.9 Liberty and Richmond magazine are hosting Christmas in July Saturday July 17. The event will showcase local bands performing Christmas songs and discounts from Town Center retailers from 10am – 6pm. The event is free but all guests are asked to bring non-perishable canned goods. The point of the event is to express how generous giving should be the same year-long as it is in November and December. All monetary proceeds and food donations will benefit the Central Virginia Food Bank. In addition to the musical selections there will be kid-friendly entertainment and an iPad raffle.
